With the Switch 2 release coming next week, Nintendo has posted a video highlighting three new features coming to the N64 virtual console with two of them being Switch 2 exclusive.
Those with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription can take advantage of the N64 virtual console and relive them classic days of playing games such as Pokémon Snap, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and my personal favourite, Super Mario 64.
The three new features coming to N64 games are customizable controls, rewind, and a CRT screen filter.
Those sticking to the original Switch consoles won’t be able to utilise that rewind feature or the CRT screen filter, they will be able to remap the controls when this update goes live.
While the rewind feature may be held back by the original Switch’s power, users express their upset to a filter being locked exclusively to the new console.
You can expect the update to go live on June 5th alongside the Switch 2 release.
